Although the meadow is small and surrounded by trees, you can see it on the east side of the highway and adjacent to the parking area. The meadow is a good place to experience ski touring for the first-time if you only have an hour to spend. It's also a good place to combine a first-time ski tour with building a snowman — a great way to introduce a child to ski touring.
Nearby Grass Lake is a better location for beginner skiers who want to spend more time.
