All the tours that start at Kingvale (Troy Crossing) initially cross private lands and some destinations are on private lands.
As of February 2020, the following is what I believe is the situation with respect to the tours titled:
- Nancy Lake
- Matrimony Ridge
- Peak 6893
- Fisher Lake Overlook
- High Loch Leven Lake
- Snow Mountain
These tours, as I described them, all originated from Troy Road. All these tours crossed private property. The owner of that property does not want anyone to trespass, not even cross country skiers.
In addition, Matrimony Ridge and Peak 6893 are on private property and the owner of the property does not want anyone to trespass.
However, Nancy Lake, Fisher Lake Overlook and High Loch Leven Lake are accessible via the Big Bend Ranger Station. Those tours are not yet in this guide.
Snow Mountain is on public lands but there is no reasonable route to access it that is entirely on public lands.
Please abide by the landowner's request.
